Philip A. Ebert

I’m a Professor of Philosophy at the University of Stirling, Scotland and scientific member of the Behavioural Science Centre.

My research focus is:

Epistemology, in particular risk and rationality.
Early Analytic Philosophy, in particular Gottlob Frege
Philosophy of Mathematics, in particular Abstractionism.

I have also interests in philosophical issues in Behavioural Science, such as the ethics of influence and risk communication

From 2020-2023 I'm leading, together with Dr Martin Smith, the Varieties of Risk research project. It is hosted by the University of Stirling and the University of Edinburgh and it is supported by the AHRC.
